Design Project:
Students are divided into groups of three and assigned
to design the heating and cooling systems for a building. They write a
report to the developer describing the zoning that will be provided, the
number, type and capacity of the system being recommended and the capacity
of the elements providing the heating and cooling for each office. Designs
are competitive among the groups. A progress report is required after four
weeks and a Final Engineering Report is due at the end of the semester.
